
Silva Architects is a professional design firm specializing in architecture,
land planning, interior design and space planning. Our goal is to solve
the challenges created by clients endeavoring to build commercial, retail
and industrial facilities. With a focus on economic, environmental,
and health & safety issues, we provide excellent service in response

Stephen F. Silva, AIA, LEED AP
~ Mr. Silva is recognized for his highly creative abilities
to transform the client's ideas and vision into a realized project.
Mr. Silva personally attends to all phases of the development and construction
project with the singular objective of surpassing the client's expectations.
Steve's experience and understanding of governmental and regulatory
process as well as his developer/construction manager perspective brings
added value to the design and planning process. Mr. Silva received his
Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois - Chicago
in 1986. He is a current member of the American Institute of Architects,
sits on the City of Elgin Building Commission and Property Maintenance
Commission and has been actively involved in the City of Elgin. Mr.
Silva enjoys his family life, skiing, golfing and sports cars.
James W. Darras
~ Mr. Darras holds an Associate Degree of Architecture and
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from Southern Illinois
University. He is highly accomplished in facility master planning, client
space planning and interior architectural design, with select projects
featured in Interiors magazine, Corporate Design magazine and the premier
issue of Colorado Offices and Design professional architectural publications.
He served as Panel Judge for interior architectural design senior theses
projects at Syracuse University, N.Y. and as guest speaker at NEOCON,
Chicago. Mr. Darras is acknowledged by both clients and peers as a focused
designer and project manager with an extraordinary ability for integrating
space-efficient operational requirements with staff-inspiring office
environments.
Marcin C. Skrzesinski, LEED AP
~ Since he received his Building Technician Degree from Technikum Budowlane,
Opole, Poland (1990) Marcin has been involved in many aspects of construction
process. He has experience with traditional as well as modern construction
technologies. For ten years Marcin co-owned a family firm specialized
in production and installation of modern commercial glazing products
and systems. Marcin, his wife and son immigrated to the USA in 2002.
Since his arrival, Marcin has consistently worked to improve his professional
knowledge and skills within the construction industry. While working
in the trades as an EIFS-technician, masonry plasterer and rough carpenter,
he completed a vocational program in CAD drafting. He actively spends
time with his family and dog, enjoys running, skiing and kayaking. In
2003 Marcin successfully completed the Chicago Marathon.
